[edit] Powell Butte.. more than one in Oregon

There is a much larger Powell Butte at 44.198, -120.978 which also plays host to a small farming community by the same name, located on Highway 126 between Redmond and Prineville OR. I grew up there so I should know. It was in fact named after my great uncle, though I'm not sure if the one in Portland was. I'll do some more research.

Should we make a disambiguation page? Jesset77 20:53, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

According to the USGS the area near Prineville is called Powell Buttes even though the name of the community is Powell Butte. Information can be found at USGS GNIS: Powell Buttes and USGS GNIS: Powell Butte --DRoll (talk) 05:39, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
