From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Powerball is one of several events played in the television series Gladiators. In this event, it is a game where it's a mix of football and basketball, but in a minute.

[edit] Rules

Both challengers had 45-60 seconds to place as many balls in one of the five baskets to score points. However, in order for this to happen, they must pass through three Gladiators and try not to get tackled by them, as they try to stop them from scoring.

Two points are scored for every ball the challenger places in one of the four outer baskets. Three points are scored for every ball the challenger places in the center basket.

Challengers must pick up the balls from either end of the box full of balls and not pick one up from the ground.

Once a challenger is thrown out of the Gladiator's zone, the ball must be dropped.

Gladiators are not allowed to do a high tackle on the challengers such as a neck strangle, else two points will be credited to the challenger.
