Bernard Fanning (born August 15, 1969) is an Australian musician best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Powderfinger. He went to St. Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace, Brisbane. Fanning is currently married to Andrea Portela Moreno, whom he married at the start of 2007 in Brisbane, Australia.

"Sunsets" is a song released as the third single from Australian rock band Powderfinger's fifth studio album, Vulture Street. The single was released on 4 January 2004 in Australia and New Zealand. "Sunsets" earned a mixed response from reviewers. Some reviewers praised its appeal and aggression, whilst others appreciated the power ballad elements within it. Others, however, described the song negatively as "lumbering". "Sunsets" charted moderately, reaching #11 on the Australian singles chart.

Across the Great Divide tour is the 2007 tour by Australian bands Powderfinger and Silverchair to promote reconciliation between the general Australian community and Indigenous Australians, to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of equal rights for Indigenous Australians. Two Melbourne concerts were released as a DVD of the same name.

John Collins is the bass player in the Australian band Powderfinger. He is one of the founding members of the band, along with guitarist Ian Haug. John formed Drag with fellow Powderfinger member Darren Middleton, as well as performing with Ian Haug and former Powderfinger member Steven Bishop in The Predators.

Jon Coghill (born Jonathan James Coghill on 26 August 1971) is an Australian drummer best known for his work with Australian rock band, Powderfinger, although he has also toured with Regurgitator. Coghill replaced Powderfinger's original drummer Steven Bishop in 1991 when Bishop wanted to pursue further studies. At this time, Powderfinger had not made any recordings, and as such, Coghill has been the group's drummer for all of their releases.
