Pouya Mahmoodi

Pouya Mahmoodi is an Iranian guitarist, songwriter and singer born in Tehran in 1975. He is a pioneer of Iranian world fusion style, mixing Iranian traditional music with western music styles such as jazz, blues, and rock.

He was the lead singer and guitarist of the band Barad, and, in 2008, he released his debut solo album, Mehr, which features drummer Billy Cobham on two songs.[1]
