The house in which our great ancestors lived their valuable life for more than two centuries was sold twenty five years ago. How much we had wished to get back that address that belonged to our ancestors who had granted a rich colourful past. The news that it was put for sale reached us and we met our respectable elders to discuss about this. The tremendous interest and wholesome attention that the imparted during the discussions, warranted immediate attention to purchase the invaluable ancestral asset of the bygone era. We are glad to say that we have proceeded and given an advance of fifty thousand rupees and signed an agreement which should be met by 31st March, 2008.
History
The land that stretched between Chandragirippuzha and Paravoor was generally known as Malayalanad during the ancient and medieval era. Our ancestors who were with the King, Zamorin of Calicut in 1360 AD had organized this settlement to the Nedunganad hinterland. 1766 AD had brought in a sudden upheaval in the political scenario in the Malabar history, which resulted the downfall of the existence of the Calicut as the power centre. Calicut first sported a Dutch flag and the British flag. Our land which stretched from Calicut and Ponnani to the forest ghat region of Mannarkkad, and management and administration of this needed a shift of a few members to Adakkaputhur by the end of the seventeenth century. From then onwards as known by all of us, our family was known as Thammepanickerakathu Puthanmadothil. Hence getting back this possession of this property is a great opportunity to relive our past and will be a great tribute to the excellent values that were set by our great ancestors.
Aim of this programme
1. It was found out during the devaprasnam that the presence of Bhagavathi (Thiruvalayanat Amma), Ayyappan, Sreechakram, Salagramam, etc. that represented saktheya aradhana; in our temple has caused diminishing the prabhavam of Sekharapuram Thevar. This will be corrected if it is shifted to the premises where it belonged to in the past.
2. It has been decided and followed by us to finance the expenses of daily pooja of Sekharapuram Kshethram. By funding this project we will be able to own an asset that can not be changed hands and the land can be made to perform so as to fund the daily pooja. This will enable us to make a one time investment that will assure performance so as to fund the endeavor in future.
3. By acquiring this property, of our great ancestors, we can provide an arrangement for the future generation to interact and contain each other in future.
4. This building will provide a much needed shelter where we can camp and have darshan and blessings of Thevar, Bhagavathi and Lord Siva at the same time.
5. This can be developed in to a museum and a study centre which will help the future generation to recognize and imbibe the aristocratic values that were set by our great ancestors.

Our family members and ancestors were torchbearers and had set a bench mark as highly intelligent and educated persons who were holding highly responsible positions. This property was given to us by them as janma property. This highly fertile land and architectural marvel of our padippura malika attracted by many prospective buyers. By keeping aside a portion of our hard earned money to buy this, we can be proud owners of the land were we belong to.

This is a last chance for us to own this land; an opportunity that was probably extended by the grace of our Bhagavathi and Thevar and our great ancestors. Let us unite and create a future for the betterment of ours and future generations.

With prayers to Sree Bhagavathi and Sekharapuram Thevar

With love and regards to all of you
