[edit] Pictures

I would like to see all pictures remain on this page. They have historical sentimental value. Please see discussion

[edit] Cleanup December 2006

Reorganized and cleaned up some of this page. History section still needs some work. I will eventually make a population box. Wrightchr 22:00, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Population box completed and moved to demographic section of article: Wrightchr 17:00, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Correction of Boston Bulldogs information

Removed following text from article: "The Boston Bulldogs became defunct after a few years and re-emerged in Washington, D.C. as the Redskins." Replaced the text with "The Boston Bulldogs folded in 1929."

The reason being that both NFL.com and Answers.com state very plainly that the franchise folded in 1929. Additionally, neither the NFL website or the Redskins website mention a continuation of the Bulldogs. This would indicate that they do not recognize a link between franchises. [edit] Yuengling

Since a case can be made that Yuengling is the thing for which Pottsville is most well known, I feel it should be given it's own section within the article. (And I'm not saying that because I wrote most of that section originally...) I wanted to get opinions before making any changes, since there has been a concerted effort to clean this article up...Bowie60 19:56, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

    • Most of the 19th Century section in History is devoted to basic backround information about Yuengling; however, if important historical facts can be added, in keeping with a concise and professional appearance to the article, by all means add to it. What I wouldn't want to see is a good portion of Pottsville being devoted to Yuengling, that ultimately undermines the whole point of cleaning it up in the first place. Repeating information in both the Yuengling and Pottsville articles doesn't make much sense. Wrightchr 07:01, 23 January 2007

Ok, good point. I'll leave it be, unless something really good comes to my attention.Bowie60 18:42, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Pottsville pa seal.gif

Image:Pottsville pa seal.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
