[edit] Image:Tornado vs. Hypno-Disc.jpg

This is a screencapture of a BBC Robot Wars broadcast (or DVD). Therefore it can not be public domain.  Channel ®    15:29, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

IMO there's a good fair use argument in that it's a low-res screenshot of an unrepeatable event and doesn't reduce the commercial exploitability of the original. Sidefall (talk) 16:23, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Tigersharks.ogg

Video of the intro to a copyrighted TV show. I'm not sure if this is allowed, but it's certainly not Creative Commons. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 17:37, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Taio Cruz In 2008 New.jpg

This certainly looks like a publicity photo, but I couldn't find it on his official site and thus no evidence that this image has been released into the public domain. --Geniac (talk) 20:06, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

I took this photo at the artist's Bush Hall gig on 19 March 2008. Photography was allowed. The copyright of the photo is therefore mine and I have uploaded it myself to Wikipedia. Please do not delete it. You can check it out further on my flickr.com page (you will be able to see that it was taken with the same camera (Fujifilm FinePix F30 - a compact camera, definitely not one used for professional shots) as my other photos, and (as of 8 May 2008) see another picture taken the same evening). It is very flattering of Geniac to think that my photo is a professional one - thanks a lot for the compliment! holly_har Holly har (talk) 21:06, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Please double-check which image I have posted about. It is linked above. --Geniac (talk) 01:45, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, Geniac, for the clarification about the photo - I see that you are not referring to mine but to the PR shot which was put up subsequently (this means, unfortunately, that you're not being so complimentary about the quality of mine!). However, the comment and link about the uncertain copyright status do appear under my photo, which is confusing. Can this be removed? Holly har (talk) 11:06, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Image is now available on his official MySpace with confirmation that it is released to the public domain. --Geniac (talk) 03:38, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Unlikely to be owned by uploader. Caught lying about other images uploaded at same time. NrDg 21:46, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

No evidence the image is a work of the Federal Government, seems to be a work of the Texas State Government. Polly (Parrot) 22:44, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
