[edit] Image:Hornet1.jpg

Famous aviation photographer Charles E. Brown is credited with this image. Since Brown died in 1982, photo will not enter public domain until 2053. Source provided is a website; no claim there that Crown Copyright ever applied to this image. — Rlandmann (talk) 01:49, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

The entire Charles.E Brown collection was purchased by the RAF museum in 1980 -http://www.rafmuseum.org/london/collections/photographic/charles_brown.cfm. As Rlandlmann states these images do not appear to be Crown Copyright expired as they appear not to have been taken by a Goverment employee (while they may be Crown Copyright now - I don't think this helps us.Nigel Ish (talk) 09:14, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Indeed, copyright on other Charles E. Brown photos on the RAF Museum website is noted as "© Charles Brown Collection", and the Museum itself is operated as a trust rather than as a government institution (as indeed is the NASM in the USA). So I don't think they're even Crown Copyright now. --Rlandmann (talk) 20:20, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Publication was in a magazine in general circulation; no reason to assume that Crown Copyright ever applied to this image. Source provided is a website; no claim there that Crown Copyright ever applied to this image either. — Rlandmann (talk) 01:49, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Photo copied from a website, no evidence that Crown Copyright ever applied, original source of the image stated as unknown. Actually a speedy candidate, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here. — Rlandmann (talk) 01:49, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Taku! Must've made a mistake in the copyright thingy. I'll try and change it to fair use ASAP. Ominae (talk) 02:15, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Are all "Works of Israeli Government" released to the public domain? Damiens.rf 17:00, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Israeli government photographs are placed in the public domain 50 years after their publication. I doubt this photo was taken by the Israeli government in any event. Kelly hi! 18:31, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
And the poor baby was born in 2000, what makes the 50 years figure a little bit unlikely. --Damiens.rf 18:55, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Brang_Seng_1980.jpg

No evidence uploader is copyright holder. According to uploader's apparent autobiography, he was born in 1972, which would make him 8 years old at the time this photo was taken. Kelly hi! 18:30, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
