How can i give you evidence??? I have permision to use all pictures & logo. How do you come up with these assumptions that there's a conflict of interest & copyright violations. What can i do to remove all of these tags??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pierrerivard (talkcontribs) 17:49, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

No evidence that uploader is copyright holder. If taken by uploader, it's odd there is no camera metadata. Kelly hi! 02:48, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I took that picture myself 100%. I can't explain why there is no meta data, the only edit thing I did to it was run it through photoshop to crop out Leila. Dengero (talk) 11:54, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Could you possibly e-mail the original to permissions@wikimedia.org so they can assign an OTRS ticket number to the image? Kelly hi! 22:37, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
What exactly do i write in the email? "here's a photo, gimme a OTRS number?" o.0 Dengero (talk) 13:25, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry :) Just provide the photo and a link to the Wikipedia version. The e-mail volunteer will attach the OTRS ticket to the image. Kelly hi! 13:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Um, ok lol. Will I get a reply or some sort to know something has happened? Dengero (talk) 14:09, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:RosedaleCanda.JPG

Tagged {{PD-self}}; summary is "Photo free-licensed by Whispering-Cedars Bed and Breakfast - 9792A Gray Road South, Chilliwack (Rosedale), BC, V0X 1X0, Canada; I extend this free-license to the Public Domain". If the uploader is not the copyright holder, he has no authority to extend the terms of the original license. (Additionally, we don't have any information about what the original "free-license" was.) —Bkell (talk) 15:03, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I recieved the expressed ability to relicense this how I wanted; in effect, becoming the copyright holder. I will attempt to reinitiate contact with the original photographer to get an email to send to OTRS; permissions was not functioning at the time of upload, I believe, or I didn't know about it (this was from mid-2006!). [edit] Image:Jimmy Fund Card.png

Image is a scan of a game card from Burger King. My concern is that either the entire game card or the copyright/trademark images on the card may be a problem. Shinerunner (talk) 17:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I created the image, I say it is free. It is the same usage as a picture of any other trademarked product used on this site, like a Coke can, a Big Mac or a Ford F-150 that was taken by an individual to show an example of the product. It was not taken from an advertisement, web page or any other copyrighted source. --Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 17:44, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Addressing you concerns, take a look at a picture of a Burger King cup: it has numerous trademarks on it, including the BK logo, the Coke logo with its unique font and the dynamic ribbon device (the curved line) or a picture of Ford Shelby Mustang with the blue oval Ford logo, the Ford Mustang and Cobra logos as well as the Carroll Shelby International logos. What about an image of a sports stadium like Fenway Park? Check out the image of it, there are logos for Budweiser, John Hancock Insurance, EMC and others, all of which are clearly visible in their entirety. Not mention images of NASCAR or CART vehicles, professional soccer players, Times Square, Piccadilly Circus, etc. These images, with their fully included trademarked logos, slogans and copyrighted images (those seen on billboards and such), are clearly within fair use and are allowable. If we are not going to show a examples of branded products, people, places and other items with copyrighted images and trademarked logos in them, then a whole class of images used on Wikipedia would have to be deleted.
I want to point out one other group of images where everything contained in the image is subject to copyright/trademark: the Coke bottle, especially the special edition ones. The entire Coke bottle, including its shape, color of the glass, the logos, images and slogans included on the bottle, as well as its contents, are all trademarked or subject to copyright. We allow them, so we should allow this one.
--Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 16:52, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Here's my concern in a nutshell. If I were to scan and upload the image of a movie poster, album cover, book cover etc. I would have to use a corresponding license and fair use summary for it. It's not that the image may contain copyrighted or trademarked material as part of the photo like your example of Piccadilly Circus. It's that the image is completely about an item that may be copyrighted or trademarked. Your examples like John Hancock Insurance,BK logo and blue oval Ford logo are all licensed as copyright protected logos with a fair use summary. They have not been uploaded under a self created license. Shinerunner (talk) 19:41, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Those are different, most album covers and movie posters contain original pieces of art that itself is copyright and contain said claims on the original image print. According to the card, the only parts that are copyrighted are the logos of the participating companies, the Jimmy Fund and the Boston Red Sox. The name A Chance for Kids is trademarked, but the stylized text it is spelled out in is not. Their is no copyright claim on the image of the little girl, there is no All rights reserved or Any reproduction of this card... statement on the front or back of the card. I believe that my claim about authorship of the image of the card is valid.
It is in the same category as these images:
--Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 01:32, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Your statement "there is no All rights reserved or Any reproduction of this card... statement on the front or back of the card." may not be correct. The third line from the bottom of the card states " Tm & Copyright 2007 Burger King Brands Inc. All rights reserved". Regarding these images Image:Scratch game.jpg and Image:Scratchcards sold in Berlin.jpg I would have to research the copyright rules for Finland and Germany before I could give an opinion if the licenses on those images was correct.Shinerunner (talk) 01:19, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Those statements refer to the logos of the participating companies that are on the card. --Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 18:12, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Delete - derivative work. The image of the kid is protected by copyright, so you can't release this scan under a free license without permission of the copyright holder. --88.134.141.133 (talk) 12:04, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

I will speak with the family of the little girl in the picture (She is alive and well, her leukemia is in remission) and see what the conditions of the photo were, as they are the owner of the rights to girl's image.--Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 04:16, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Can't be bothered with this silliness any more. Do what you want with it. I've replaced it with a picture of my own which probably isn't as good, but at least I don't have to deal with this old poo-socks. Yours petulantly hjuk (talk) 21:52, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Bn seasonthree 2008.jpg

Composite image using various copyrighted images. Uploader does not hold copyright on these images. Polly (Parrot) 21:37, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Uploader has contracts which provide written permission from every person in the collage to use that person's image (as PROVIDED by artist) to promote the TV series Beautiful Noise.

Thanks for your concern. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Doverpro110 (talkcontribs) 03:43, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Excuse me? You want me to send my private legal contracts with 17 artists to wikimedia? I think not. Please look at the context here. Failing that, I will make another poster with other pictures.
