[edit] January 2

[edit] Image:BSDC1.jpg

Tagged with {{GFDL-no-disclaimers}}, but source [1] states at the bottom "© 2007 Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services". No evidence is given that this image has been released under the GFDL by the copyright holder. (Also, this is an easily replaceable image.) —Bkell (talk) 00:11, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Demi Lovato.jpg

Obtained from http://demilovatofan.e-fans.net/photos/displayimage.php?album=14&pos=16 which appears to an image from a photoshoot. Suspect uploader does not own image so license release invalid. NrDg 00:28, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Author removed license release but still claims ownership. --NrDg 22:37, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Paolo_Borciani.jpg

Source site has no GFDL. Jusjih (talk) 01:15, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Forestwood falcons.gif

Almost certainly not self created (author has history of copyvios) - and orphaned in case of fair use anyway. The Evil Spartan (talk) 03:49, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:MMsig.JPG

Originally listed at WP:CP with reasoning: "Questionable GFDL-self claim with claimed permission uncertain." I'm not quite sure I agree with this reasoning (most of our images are based on idea that uploader is telling the truth): besides, I believe signatures cannot be copyrighted in the US if given away (I saw this in a discussion somewhere...) [edit] Image:Mileycyrus3.jpg

Image does not appear to be a "self-made" image of said person. Appears to be a promotional type image that the author is claiming credit for. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 06:07, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Agree. Also it is stated that it was taken in Cyrus' home which implies it belongs to Cyrus, a close friend or a pro for promo purposes. Date format on upload info is British. Meta data is from Adobe, not a camera. Looks like someone downloaded a picture from Cyrus' subscription web site, modified it with adobe and claims ownership as it was then uploaded from the uploader's computer. --NrDg 16:44, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
No response from uploader, image not used in any article. Deleted as copyright infringement.--NrDg 17:27, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Claims it is released into public domain by author but appears to be a promotional picture of the character often released. Could be changed to fair use if this is the case — Million_Moments (talk) 18:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC).

It's sourced to what looks like a fansite, which almost certainly isn't the copyright holder, so we have no way of knowing if it's really been released. It should be changed to fair use. --Tango (talk) 15:02, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
But how can we see the picture??? And apparently someone has already just deleted it. A promotional picture would seem to be fine since they are still selling the series on DVD and he appeared as late as last year in their final season. --IceHunter (talk) 19:24, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

i can't tell whether the uploader is claiming to be the author or not, looks lilke it was pulled from some sort of community website Calliopejen1 (talk) 18:20, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:PERFECT MESS rgbcover.jpg

Released as PD-SELF, with no explanation as to how the uploader is the copyright holder of what appears to be eithr a book or album cover. Corvus cornixtalk 22:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

This is my album cover for my new record. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Donna Ferra (talkcontribs) 23:36, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Then it will need a fair use rationale and can't be on your User page as that isn't an acceptable fair use. In addition, if you're the artist, then you probably don't own the rights to the image, the recording company does. Corvus cornixtalk 00:35, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
