The image is tagged public domain but has a comment that the copyright holder gave the uploader permission to post the image on Wikipedia. Has the copyright holder in fact released the photo into the public domain? --Una Smith (talk) 07:02, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

I could not find any evidence of the GFDL on the site the description page says the image came from - therefore I assume it is copyrighted and therefore non-free. Andreworkney (talk) 12:27, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Please keep it. I am new to wikipedia and didn't know how to register. I don't even know what a sockpuppet is...I just forgot my password so had to keep signing up. Please see my website- www.beautifuldayphotography.com for more of my images. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Exposay1 (talk • contribs) 00:20, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Nicole Lapin pic.jpg
All of these photos of Nicole Lapin have a statement from the photographer releasing the photo into the public domain. Its pretty clear that these are false. Three SPA's uploaded photos claiming to be Laura Grier: Bobbo1 (talk · contribs) uploaded Image:Nicole Lapin pic.jpg, Newmunch (talk · contribs) uploaded Image:Nicole Lapin WIKI.jpg, and Newzie (talk · contribs) uploaded Image:Nicole Lapin WIKI 1.jpg. Bobbo1 is probably a sockpuppet of Rock100 (talk · contribs). According to Rock100's logs they uploaded a photo of Nicole Lapin claiming to be Laura Grier several days before Bobbo1 and several of the other photos Bobbo1 uploaded had been previously uploaded by Rock100. A few hours after Bobbo1 uploaded Image:Nicole Lapin pic.jpg, a SPA Exposay1 (talk · contribs) uploaded Image:Nicole Lapin exposay.jpg claiming to be David Gabber. Only remaining image by uploader unproven to be a copyright violation. Appears to be another upload using an illigetimate license to circumvent WP:NFCC#1. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 20:07, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

- What kind of evidence do you want? want me to take a picture of the full thing instead of just cutting the top? Dengero (talk) 22:49, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- With respect, it looks like this is an image taken from a website or scanned from a magazine or somewhere. If that is the case, then you are not the copyright holder. If you are the original photographer (which I doubt), or have been granted permission to use this image on Wikipedia, then please provide some evidence that this is the case.
