[edit] Image:Wadikillamap.jpg

No source info beyond the "Wikimapia" tag on the image, if I recall correctly that's basicaly just a front end on top of Google maps making this a non-free map that could be replaced by simmilar maps from a free source. Sherool (talk) 01:25, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Brazil Nut fruit.jpg

Given that the URL says "personal_pages", it is unclear whether this was taken in a NASA employee's official duties. If not, it may be copyrighted. Superm401 - Talk 04:29, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Worthing Pier, Sussex.jpg

Tagged {{cc-by-3.0}}, but Flickr source page [1] says it's licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivative Works 2.0 Generic. "No Derivative" is not free enough for Wikipedia. —Bkell (talk) 06:00, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Keegan England.jpg

A "Bob Dunning" is listed as source, but there's no evidence that Bob Dunning is the copyright owner, or whether the Bob Dunning ever licensed the photo under Creative Commons Mosmof (talk) 07:09, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

I've followed the link posted at the image, and it seems very likely that this Bob Dunning fellow isn't the copyright owner, but just a webmaster who collects old football photos. --Mosmof (talk) 15:38, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

PD Claim but source listed claims (C) Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:11, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

This pictures is a photoshopped picture of a XD shape imposed on a Caracal pistol, please tell me where the problem lies? Please do a Whois inquiry, you'll see the site it is posted is mine.

Edmond HUET (talk) 14:17, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

If it's your site say so in the image smmary :), You could ideally also lodge a permission with the relevant OTRS queue, so it doesn't get flagged again :) Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:04, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Will do. Image is originally posted there http://www.caracal-consulting.com/caracalevaluation/index.html

lot of other pictures there http://s192.photobucket.com/albums/z69/Quickload/

[edit] Image:Spruce Island.jpg

Tagged {{NoRightsReserved}}. Source is given as http://www.reginalibrary.ca/, but I can't find this photo on that site. The bottom of reginalibrary.ca says "© 1997-2008 Regina Public Library"; if this photo did come from reginalibrary.ca, there is no evidence given that the copyright holder has released all rights to the image. —Bkell (talk) 14:59, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

  • There's a copy of what looks like the same image at this link. There's no guarantee that they didn't grab it from us, though, since the copyright notice on their page is from 2008 and our image was uploaded in 2006. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 17:25, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
    • If they are the source, we still have problems, since their site says "© 2008 Abrams & Krochak - Canadian Immigration Lawyers" and there's no indication that they have released this image "no rights reserved" as claimed. —Bkell (talk) 20:58, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Changing tag to album cover tag and tagging for no rationale - (same with other album covers mentioned.) That should got the uploaders attention. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:58, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Seems to be copyrighted from the linked site. Does the uploader have permission for its use? — Spellcast (talk) 20:10, 19 February 2008 (UTC).

[edit] Image:11stan.jpg

User says it is both own work and government work and claims public domain. As it appears to be a publicity photo of the actress Odette Yustman, I find this doubtful. — Revolving Bugbear 21:16, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Resolved. Rettetast (talk) 13:41, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

It says: "You may NOT use this image on your own web site or anywhere else unless you release this image and any derivative works (e.g. your web site) by following the terms of the following license. Any other use will be considered a breach of copyright and I reserve the right of legal action. If you have not read the terms of the license or do not understand them, then do not use this image." Its an unfree image. Compwhiz II(Talk)(Contribs) 22:56, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

The "following license" in question is GFDL. Releasing derivative works under GFDL is a requirement anyway, so that disclaimer is basically just a "hey pay attention". It's a GFDL-compatible image. - Revolving Bugbear 18:16, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:LISD.jpg

Its a logo of a school district. Probably not the uploader's. See this website. Compwhiz II(Talk)(Contribs) 23:32, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
