[edit] Image:Falls1.jpg
Looks like a likely-copyrighted promo photo for the park, and image description seems to confirm this. Public domain tag in this case more than likely improper. SchuminWeb (Talk) 06:25, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Salyut_7_from_Soyuz_T-13.jpg
Tagged as both {{PD-RU-exempt}} and {{PD-USGov-NASA}}, I don't believe either applies. Kelly hi! 06:54, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Sıla.jpg
The main website (http://www.hurriyet.com.tr) clearly states that contents are copyrighted, and no evidence of CC-3.0 licensing is provided. — Huntster (t • @ • c) 07:24, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Daurian_hedgehog.gif
I don't believe {{PD-RU-exempt}} applies to artwork, only to text. Copyright for this image should lie with the creator, not the government agency. Kelly hi! 07:25, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:RSDK01-4757-4-1-20070421195617-20070421195629.jpg
{{PD-RU-exempt}} does not apply. Kelly hi! 07:27, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Other images by same uploader with similar problems are Image:Resurs-dk-izmir-turkey.gif and Image:Resursdk1-chile.JPG. Kelly hi! 07:29, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Yak-30.gif
Tagged as {{PD-RU-exempt}}, but has no good source. Kelly hi! 07:35, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:AliyevKGB.jpg
No evidence of PD status at given source. Kelly hi! 08:07, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- I think it is after 1954 (the guy is to old on this photo), support deletion Alex Bakharev (talk) 14:51, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Anna_Wolkoff.jpg
Source has no indication of date or authorship, or that it is PD in Russia. Kelly hi! 08:14, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- I do not think the Russian copyright is relevant here, the photo was almost certainly taken by a British photographer Alex Bakharev (talk) 14:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Averbakh1950s.JPG
Not in the public domain in Russia. Lacks source information for a fair-use claim. The Commons source image has been nominated for deletion as unfree. Kelly hi! 08:22, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- According to the uploader it is 1955 photo beyond the 1954 cutout anyway. Most probably copyvio Alex Bakharev (talk) 14:57, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Bagramyan1938.jpg
No evidence of PD status at given source. Kelly hi! 08:27, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- It is 1938 according to the name of the file and certainly prior to 1943 according to the uniform. The author is unknown but almost certainly an employee of a state-owned photographic shop. 1938 or 1943 are well beyond the 1954 cut out date Alex Bakharev (talk) 14:29, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Batitsky.jpg
No evidence photo is in the public domain. Source has no info on date or authorship. Kelly hi! 08:37, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- The photo is probably of late 1960ies or 1970ies the guy was appointed Marshal in 1964 and he is in Marshal regalia. Support deletion Alex Bakharev (talk) 14:49, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Eisenstein1.jpg
Given source displays copyright notice. Kelly hi! 08:48, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sergei Eisenstein died in 1948. The photo is obviously taken before this, so the cutout date of 1954 is satisfied. Alex Bakharev (talk) 14:46, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- 1954 is no longer necessarily a good cutoff date for Russian public domain, maybe {{PD-US-1996}}?
- It looks like for {{PD-US-1996}} to apply, the copyright holder must have died prior to 1954 (unknown) or it must have been published anonymously prior to 1954 (also unknown, as the source website obviously took the photo from somewhere without crediting it). Since the image is orphaned and copyright can't be determined, I think we should delete it. Kelly hi! 15:36, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Allatarasova.jpg
No evidence of public domain status. Kelly hi! 11:41, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well the photo is of 1937 made by an anonymous author, an employee of a state. 1937 is well beyond 1954 by the current PD-Russia implementation and beyond 1946 required to apply {{PD-US-1996}} Alex Bakharev (talk) 14:21, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- {{PD-Russia}} is obsolete as of 1 January 2008; Russian public domain is (mostly) {{PD-old-70}} now. But you're right in that this could be {{PD-US-1996}}, I'll do some checking. Kelly hi! 15:05, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- The problem is that it apparently wasn't published anonymously, so {{PD-old-50}} rule would apply in conjunction with {{PD-US-1996}}. Unless this is a capture from the film itself, apparently - see Commons:Temple:PD-Russia-2008. Kelly hi! 18:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Tom Korbee photo blue shirt.jpg
Promotional photograph, uploader unlikely to hold copyright. Polly (Parrot) 18:51, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Given the uploader's edits and username, I suspect WP:COI, so may well hold copyright. Paulbrock (talk) 13:22, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
