[edit] Image:Dn2929-1 750.jpg

Image is a direct copy of http://www.newscientist.com/data/images/ns/cms/dn2929/dn2929-1_750.jpg, thus the U.S. Government license is false. An admin may want to take note, original uploader seems to be using this particular license with all their images, possibly to play the system. — -- Huntster T@C 02:59, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:72.jpg

No source provided for this image and no description, shows characteristics of being an independent illustration, and not something done by the U.S. Government. -- Huntster T@C 00:56, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

This is a painting by William K. Hartmann. See here, no. 72. It is presumably copyrighted.Rubble pile 15:32, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

And the following: Image:35A.jpg, Image:15A.jpg, Image:14A.jpg, Image:12A.jpg, Image:11A.jpg, Image:10A.jpg, Image:9AS2.jpg, Image:8AS.jpg, Image:7AS.jpg, Image:6AS.jpg, Image:5AS.jpg.

There was another image from this series deleted as a copyvio with a fake license back in May (see the conversation). Considering this I seriously doubt that the images are indeed the uploader's own work. See also his talk page to get some insight. I have suggested him to explain a bit about how he created them or they should be deleted. --Eleassar my talk 08:49, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Don't know where Acom got those umages but they were originally snitched from M. Kaasalainen et al's asteroid model papers.— JyriL talk 14:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
I've run into another batch of problem images by Acom at IFD. He hasn't contributed since May. Dread Pirate WestleyAargh 18:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

This is a modern work of art (see James McDonald, Artist) and unlikely to be public domain – Tivedshambo (talk) 20:32, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Pavarotti.jpg

I believe this might be considered a derivative work of the three-dimensional work of art, thus per [1] this image is non-free. However, I'm unsure if this is considered a derivative work, and I'm unsure of the copyright status of the wax figure. --- RockMFR 22:06, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
