[edit] September 13

[edit] Image:Sabrina Lloyd 2.JPG

Uploader has uploaded several images with vague or non-existant copyright notices. I don't believe that the uploader is the owner of the image and therefore I don't feel that they can legally release the image under the GFDL. Dismas|(talk) 03:50, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Comment, an anon changed the license for the image and removed the PUI tag. Now it says it's in the public domain. Dismas|(talk) 18:20, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
The image was uploaded September 12. http://flickr.com/photos/7698565@N02/451506577/ was uploaded to Flickr on April 8, 2007, and looks suspiciously similar, though different dimensions. I think that's a sign they both got it from the same source, and neither owns it. --AnonEMouse (squeak) 17:50, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Claims own work, but it looks like a promo shot. Liftarn 15:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

It's not a promo shot it's a picture of my car fixed up with Adobe photoshop FrankWilliams 18:15, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

I tend to believe him--he's been around since 2005 and has userboxes for all his fancy cars... Calliopejen1 23:53, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Commons image anyway. -- But|seriously|folks  07:29, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Other image of uploader was a copyright violation. I can't find the source for this image but I have doubts about it. Garion96 (talk) 16:24, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

No evidence that uploader is copyright holder. Videmus Omnia Talk 19:28, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:RMS Queen Elizabeth.jpg

I have serious doubts that this photo is actually CC Attribution 2.0. The original picture, found here, shows that this is a photograph of a poster. Cunard Line likely holds the copyright to this poster, and I find no indication that the poster has been released into the public domain or under a free license. SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Oh well, its apparently rather difficult to find any free photo of the Queen Elizabeth, other than her being burned and partially sunk. One of the largest passenger ships ever built, would be great if a picture existed to show what it looks like. Enigma3542002 23:30, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
In any case another user has posted a photograph, I have replaced the poster with the photograph. Enigma3542002 23:42, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Well that photo has been deleted as well. Enigma3542002 03:29, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I have replaced the original, copyright disputed Flickr-based image, with a freely-licensed photo that I created using another freely-licensed photo of the RMS Queen Mary. As such, I have changed the copyright status and removed the unfree tags. Enigma3542002 04:15, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Image has been replaced. -- But|seriously|folks  07:31, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
