[edit] Image:DefenceMedalObv.png

Appears to be a derivative work as opposed to a user-made image. Videmus Omnia Talk 02:10, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

What is there about this image that leads you to this conclusion? --Xdamrtalk 13:34, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Is it a scan of the actual medal? I've been trying to figure out the copyright status of New Zealand military medals - according to this, they're possibly under Crown Copyright, but I can't figure out if they mean the medals themselves, or their pictures of the medals. Videmus Omnia Talk 16:13, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Yes, it is a scan of the actual medal. This is not a NZ medal though - it is a UK medal, awarded Commonwealth-wide. The design of the medal is almost certainly under Crown copyright, but I don't think that this precludes photographs/scans etc. --Xdamrtalk 16:40, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Looks like a scan, i.e. uploader is not the original author. Liftarn 15:30, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

The same image can be found on this page: http://www.geocities.com/panagurishte/landmarks/treasure.htm, which is "Copyright 2002, Nadejda Karaboycheva. Photos: Dimitar Karaboychev". The uploader claims GFDL. Daggerstab 16:11, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

GFDL doubtful, official portrait. --Rosenzweig 20:44, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
