No evidence of GFDL licensing from the source site. Jusjih (talk) 01:10, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Birkenheadschool.jpg
No evidence of public domain claim per source site. Jusjih (talk) 01:27, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Blair.png
Originally tagged {{PD-self}}, with explanation "created from public domain aerial photos" but no source for said photos. Previously deleted as per {{nsd}}; image undeleted with explanation "probably from the USGS". Seems just as likely it was taken from Google Maps etc. Gyrofrog (talk) 15:07, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Short SB5 ETPS.jpg
Copyright does not need to be claimed to exist. Being published does not make it 'public domain'. The copyright in this image likely lies with the Empire Test Pilots School/Qinetiq Ltd. will not expire until 2018. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.25.136.236 (talk) 17:17, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Vitas in russia 2005.jpg
Unable to verify free status. {{PD-self}} claimed, but image is taken from official Vitas website, where it's credited to G. Avraamenko ([1] [2]). Official website has no copyright info for images. Muchness (talk) 20:38, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Uploader claims this image is his own, however it appears to be a screenshot, the caption in the article appears to confirm this. anemoneIprojectors 22:21, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:5698 Thomas Law 03.jpg
Brought to my attention as it was uploaded by the same person as the above two images. It appears to be some sort of publicity image. anemoneIprojectors 22:21, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Northstar boots.jpg
The photographer might have released his rights to the image, but the sculpture is still copyrighted. The web-resolution and inconsistent EXIF data on the uploader's PD-Self tagged images are also enough to justify asking him if he's really the photographer of those images. - Please hold off while OTRS ticket [3] is resolved. Although the EXIF information you mention is troubling, and if it does turn out to be not his we should simply delete it because of that. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 23:18, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Horus Jesus.png
Listed as GFDL but is a simple merge of two pictures that are unlikely to be the creator's property — Stephen 23:48, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- It seems to me like {{PD-old}} might apply here. It's nothing more than a side-by-side comparison of two 2D works of art that are obviously in the public domain (Image:Christus_Ravenna_Mosaic.jpg and Image:Horus 3.jpg). I suspect the uploading user either believed that combining two images made it "his" work, or he was just being lazy with the tag. Someguy1221 (talk) 23:55, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
