[edit] Image:Kosair.jpg

The same image from the source site has no GFDL licensing. Jusjih (talk) 02:37, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Pg1016.jpg

Uploader describes the image as a digitization of a copy of a United Nations document. Copyright of the underlying document must be presumed to be held by the United Nations, and cannot be licensed by the uploader. — Donald Albury 02:54, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

I changed the license. The paper in the picture is definitely belongs to UN, so I guess the PD-UN may apply to it. Although I am not sure. --Pejman47 (talk) 09:29, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
it seems that the tag was removed by the same user who put this for deletion. [1]--Pejman47 (talk) 18:14, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:EW_death_cert.jpg

Need comments to determine if a certified copy made in 2003 of a 1940 British death register qualifies for PD-BritishGov. Jusjih (talk) 02:58, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:OpenOffice2-Writer.png

Unable to locate any free software license from the source site. Jusjih (talk) 03:19, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

OpenOffice.org is one of the best known open source projects around. The license information is here, confirming that it is available under the LGPL, a free license. I have removed the PUI tag because it is invalid. *** Crotalus *** 21:01, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Morawski.jpg

Uploader once tagged PD-self and then changed to Promophoto unsourced. Jusjih (talk) 03:25, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Gagarin space suite.jpg

No evidence that RIRC was original photographer or holds copyright. They ony host a tiny thumbnail on their site in a history narrative. Calliopejen1 (talk) 11:20, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Moving this image to Feb. 8 2008. I cannot verify uploader was notified. -Nv8200p talk 03:07, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Halosig4.jpg

Fan art. The image is a two-dimensional derivative work of Halo, so the image is subject to the copyright on that character. See commons:Commons:Fan art. Chris.B (talk) 12:12, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:John Daly at AmEx.JPG

Tagged as GFDL but summary says to ask author for "explicit permission first" before using. That goes against GFDL. Cropped version of the same picture exists on Commons at commons:Image:John Daly at AmEx Crop.JPG (I am tagging as copyright problem there as well). —Wknight94 (talk) 16:01, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Now I see this was also modified as Image:John Daly at AmEx edit.png. Closing admin should also do the needful there. —Wknight94 (talk) 16:07, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Frankly I'd forgotten it was even there. But since it's not linked to anymore, I wouldn't object to it just being deleted. Banpei (talk) 03:10, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
A cropped version was uploaded at Commons and is linked to: Image:John Daly at AmEx Crop.JPG. —Wknight94 (talk) 03:13, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
