[edit] Image:Camilopessanha.jpg

Uploader claims he is the creator. Problem is that Mr. Pessanha has been dead since 1926, making that claim somewhat unlikely. This could still very well be a free image, but barring us having a really old photographer in our midst, the uploader did not create the image. --fuzzy510 04:42, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:198andTower.jpg

Image gives a web link as a source and, conveniently enough, the exact same image is part of a series of images on the main page, making it unlikely that the uploader is the copyright holder. --fuzzy510 05:38, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Urclogo3.jpg

Copyrighted logo from the university, although I cannot locate this exact file on their website, it should be covered by their copyright. --NickContact/Contribs 08:23, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

I've seen this image in Playboy magazine as well as other places on the net. I can't find it right now with a google image search but it is not a free image, it's owned by Playboy. Dismas|(talk) 14:52, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:MassageP.jpg

Based on the uploader contributions, this image is possibly unfree image and claimed as own picture. — Indon (reply) — 15:20, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Doubtful the author created this image; author has had copyright problems in past. The Evil Spartan 18:14, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

I can assure you I did create it. Robert C Prenic 14:59, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Uploader may have created the composite, but the individual shots are screenshots of someone else's work. Non-free at best. -- But|seriously|folks  09:25, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

I left you a comment in your talk page, but to sum, this image is from militarymorons.com and was created by that site's author, and used here without permission. -CumbiaDude 20:04, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:EnglishArmanen.JPG

Questionable the author created this image; author has had copyright problems in past. The Evil Spartan 18:14, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Note - Author removed PUI tag with the note I DID TAKE THIS PHOTO!. I suggested he bring his comments here. The Evil Spartan 16:21, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
I see no reason to doubt the user has taken the image. His other "copyright claims" involved missing tags and fair use claims, not false information regarding image origins. The image has camera metadata, so it seems unlikely it was just pulled from some website. --dab (𒁳) 14:46, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you dab. True, I have had issues with images but they were my mistakes in tagging them. How can I prove it? I would take a picture of my camera taking a picture of these items but this can get silly. I can assure you I did take it. Robert C Prenic 14:57, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Withdrawn. The Evil Spartan 03:34, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Does that mean its ok now? What can I do about the other images i have taken listed here? Robert C Prenic 06:32, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Note that the ones below were deleted as copyvios. -- But|seriously|folks  09:23, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
    • He has posted other images that were not his and claimed that they were his, and he has posted other images claimed to be his that were taken with a different kind of camera. Deleted. -- But|seriously|folks  04:59, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Wrong, I took them as I have said I had. Robert C Prenic 06:33, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
What may or may not have been the case with some of his other images doesn't necessarily apply to this one. We are considering this particular image. Since Robert Prenic has a history of interacting only rarely with the rest of us even when his own articles and images are at stake, the mere fact that he has been sufficiently moved to defend this one should be taken as evidence of his sincerity. This image fulfilled a striking illustrative function in Armanen runes and Germanic mysticism and should be reinstated post haste. The present situation is getting ridiculous. At the rate with which Mr Prenic's creations are being listed for deletion, all the articles on Germanic mysticism (which rely heavily on his images) will be denuded down to bare text before anyone can manage to figure their copyright statuses. It is not one iota constructive when articles that other people beside Mr Prenic have painstakingly built up and illustrated are being impoverished. Gnostrat 12:02, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:RudolfJohnGorsleben.JPG

No reason to believe this photo is 100 years old; uploader has had other copyright issues. The Evil Spartan 18:14, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

The photo is reproduced in Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke's The Occult Roots of Nazism (1985, ISBN 0-85030-402-4) as an authentic drawing of Gorsleben by himself (clearly dated to 1928). Gorsleben died in 1930 and the copyright expiry convention in Germany & the EU is life of author plus 70 years, I believe that puts it into the public domain? Gnostrat 15:30, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
I've updated the license tag then. The Evil Spartan 16:12, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
