Has anyone else been to Positano? I was there a few years ago and it was beautifull and full of interesting things. I'll work on adding some as I have time, but it would be great to have others add as well. solaro 19:54, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Historical Problem

"Positano was a prosperous port of the Amalfi Republic in the 16th and 17th centuries."

Was there still an Amalfi Republic (as opposed to a duchy or something) in the 16th and 17th centuries??

Well the dukes were "Dukes of the Republic" :-) but you're right, by then it would have been part of Naples - I don't think the Papal States ever quite got down that far. I'll edit it out. FlagSteward (talk) 11:05, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
