Postal Orders of Ghana

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Postal Orders have been issued in Ghana since 1957 to replace the postal orders of the Gold Coast.

[edit] Ghanaian Postal Orders

It is not yet known when Ghana's own postal orders were first issued, but it is known that they were issued right up until 2005, when the postal orders were withdrawn and replaced with postal money orders.

[edit] Ghanaian-issued British Postal Orders

It is not yet known when these began to be issued, or when they ceased to be issued, as information about them is currently very sketchy.

Any extant examples of these postal orders are very sought after by collectors.
