Welcome!
Hello, Porqin/Archive 1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! -- Longhair 20:55, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Regarding My Talk
Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with the Abraham page on Wikipedia! Your test worked, and thank you for reverting or removing it yourself. The best way to do tests in the future would be to use the sandbox. You can look at these pages as well: how to edit a page, the tutorial, and how to write a great article. All of these pages are good places to start. Again, thanks, and we hope that you will like Wikipedia. -- Avi 02:22, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted to the wrong revision, since someone had just reverted before me, but didn't label their changes. I then reverted it to the proper revision, and all was well. (I think this clarifies your remarks) -- Porqin 02:29, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
OK, Thanks for clarifying. I'm placing this here so it is obvious that the warning was an error. Thank you. -- Avi 02:55, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Hey...I didn't make that edit you reverted, but i.s.o. actually is gay-themed. Want to see? - Gilgamesh 14:00, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, due to his prior (repeated homosexual related) vandalism, and his few previous edits to that page, I didn't thoroughly investigate the true theme of that page. (Reverted) -- Porqin 15:23, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to 110 (number). It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Ashenai 00:38, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Urgh, my bad on this one. I apologize. Feel free to remove my warning, if you like. --Ashenai 00:48, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
-
- No problem, mistakes can always happen (when you're making hundreds of edits a day ;) ). -- Porqin 00:51, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Hello Porqin, i am not sure how to contact you so i am editing this page, if wrong apologies, but the page should be changed because it is inaccurate. Newlandsfield Park is in Newlands, Not shawlands. Cheers.
- If indeed Newlandsfield Park is in Newlands, not Shawlands, that phrase should be removed from the Shawlands page. It is not correct to put "(IN NEWLANDS NOT SHAWLANDS!!)" on the Shawlands page. Furthermore, you edited another page within a minute of this one that was tagged as vandalism as well. (Don't forget to sign your posts with ~~~~) --Porqin 14:31, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Exceptional Newcomer Award
I've been browsing your contributions, and I'm very impressed. Please accept this Exceptional Newcomer Award; you definitely deserve it. Keep up the excellent work, and if you ever need help with anything, do feel free to talk to me. Cheers! :) --Ashenai 06:00, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Your VandalProof Application
Dear Porqin,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that taht you have too few edits in the mainspace. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof.
Welcome to VandalProof!
Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Porqin! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. Computerjoe's talk 15:07, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about the edit conflict, if I made any mistakes or messed anything up please accept my sincerest apologies. Эйрон Кинни (t) 13:08, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- I have been using the popup edit reverter for only a few hours, but I've been here since May of last year. When I revert, it goes to the one before the edit I'm reverting. How do you go to a specific version of the article to revert to? Эйрон Кинни (t) 13:10, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
-
- When you are in the history page for example, scroll your mouse of the version you want to edit with Time and date, and go to the actions -> revert option. This allows you to select any previous revision (not only the last one). Hope this helps! Any further questions, I will do my best to answer. Cheers. --Porqin 13:14, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
My talk page
Today, my talk page was vandalized. You removed the vandalizm. I just wanted to say thank-you. Jason Palpatine 17:53, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- I do my best at keeping up with vandals, especially the outright childish ones. Thanks for your support. --Porqin 21:49, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Hello Kitty, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Porqin 01:47, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
VandalProof warning
Be careful with this program - you accidentally reverted me back to a vandalized version and warned me without even checking it. Just because you're using a semi-bot doesn't mean you aren't responsible for your own edits. That said, Wikipedia wouldn't be intact without our vandal fighters, so keep up the good work. (ESkog)(Talk) 01:47, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Intriguing, when the page was loaded, I rolled back and warned the user who vandalized Hello Kitty. It then showed up as vandalized again, so I rolled back and warned again. This time it warned my self, and corrected to the right version of Hello Kitty. I must have clicked the first time at the same moment you reverted, because I clearly viewed the vandalistic edit on my page, and attempted to fix it.
- So, I don't know if I was in error here, the program was in error, or bad timing (luck). Thanks for the comment.

Vandalism Reverts
Your help with reverting the vandalism on Tata Consultancy Services is much appreciated, however, in the future please remember to warn the vandalizing user by using the test templates. Warning a user is almost as important as reverting the vandalism itself, for many times the user does not realize that he or she is doing anything wrong. Thanks.--SomeStranger(t) 12:29, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- I apprectiate your feedback; however, I was in the middle of adding a warning to the user page in question, when someone already had edited on top of me (you) with a final (level 4) warning. I don't feel think there is a need to add a level 3 warning after a level 4 warning, or adding two level 4 warnings in a row. Thanks for your concern. --Porqin 12:38, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yep, I skipped 3 because I figured you would add it. It was just a friendly reminder :)--SomeStranger(t) 13:10, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi
What test has been reverted? 80.193.24.46 15:06, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
VP
Sorry that {{subst:test4}}} wasn't for you, I did a rollback with VP on sandbox, the article, at the same time as you must have done and was giving a test 4 warning. Regards and sorry again. Khukri (talk . contribs) 16:39, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Second time i've done it with VP, and both times to RC patrollers ;) Anyway Looks like you have an admirer, I'll let you do the honours. Khukri (talk . contribs) 16:46, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Yep VP again just checked back, he'd reverted as I hit report. Thanks for that. Khukri (talk . contribs) 11:39, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Adam glogauer
Your vote on Adam glogauer confuses me. Do you really think that a member of a notable band doesn't meet WP:MUSIC? I'll grant that the page is poorly written, and needs cleanup badly, but that's not a criteria for deletion. -Harmil 19:30, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- He was the drummer for the Cherry Poppin' Daddies from 1996 – 1997. That alone is a notable role. The fact that he's not a current member of the band, doesn't make him any less notable. Your claim was the he didn't meet WP:MUSIC, and I just don't see how that's the case. -Harmil 19:38, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

- It's all good. We have, I presume, a common goal. -Harmil 20:59, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
What's up with this?
Hi, what's up with this edit? You reverted an addition of perfectly good new material by an anon editor. While it was poorly written, the editor correctly identified an important application of optical fibers that was not mentioned in the article. I reverted you, and rewrote the addition in better form.--Srleffler 23:15, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- Normally, if an edit contains few grammatical errors, I can easily fix them. However, if the grammar is quite poor, and I don't understand entirely what is being conveyed, I cannot do that. I normally would have left a message as to having the user make the edit better, however, "This is the proxy IP for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, NYC Headquarters. This IP address is shared by multiple users--i.e., virtually all employees, contractors working at Pfizer's NYC Headquarters.", this anon is used by many people. I could have left a message at the article talk page to convey the subject in hindsight. --Porqin 01:59, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Ford Sporting League
Hi! I added some information to the article Ford Sporting League and am hoping it might lead you to reconsider your vote at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ford Sporting League. The Ford Sporting League was a profession league in England in the 1970s. It closed up shop after one season, but it did have some impact on football and perhaps more importantly, notable simply by it being a professional league in a major footballing nation. I’d be happy to discuss the issue further with you if you have any questions. Thanks! Vickser 00:16, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- I responded on both your userpage, and the articles AFD page. --Porqin 02:24, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, sorry for that. I sign all my posts, but I was reporting the users to AIV and requesting semi protection for Metroid Prime and forgot that. Thanks for telling me. -- ReyBrujo 17:50, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks Porqin from outnow
Porqin,
Thanks for sending me the tips - I look forward to learning more about technical aspects of wikipedia.
I hope you might also find time to assess the article appearing for Out Now Consulting that is listed for deletion to provide your assessment of the work this organisation undertakes. As the article's author, I am very close to it (of course) but believe that independently of that fact, the content of the article renders it within Wikipedia published guidelines.
The things Out Now has undertaken over its 15 year history have quite often been groundbreaking as evidenced by the fairly extensive media and academic recognition of the firm - some of which is now included with the article itself. There is much more of that type of coverage about Out Now Consulting that exists but I ran out of time when editing the article this afternoon to include everything, and I also believe that 'less is more' when it comes to making the point in a manner that is useful to readers.
