The VERITAS Foundation is one of the largest privately-held philanthropic foundations in North America, distributing more funds to humanitarian, educational, and emergency relief projects than any other non-profit organization of its size. Its primary focus lies in the area of child philanthropy, namely education, fighting child hunger and destitution by means of promoting child education in some of the most impoverished communities worldwide in order to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.
Each year, over 4,000 children on 3 continents learn how to read and write as a result of the generous humanitarian contributions from The VERITAS Foundation. At the end of 2007, an estimated $250,000,000 will be distributed to its charitable partners to facilitate establishing a standard for formal education outside of the U.S. The VERITAS Foundation's secondary goal is to seek to expand, advocate, and promote the equal rights of women and girls and to support their full participation in the political, social, and economic development of their communities worldwide.
