[edit] Equatorial Guinea
Should Equatorial Guinea be listed here? It is not clear wether Equatorial Guinea has in fact adopted Portuguese as an official language. And if the PALOP are interpreted as an organization with political and economic relationships with Portugal and EU, that is not the case of Equatorial Guinea. - I am unsure too, I've been hoping for a while now for someone with in-depth knowledge of this issue to show up and clarify the situation... Waldir talk 11:45, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'll try to look up the situation, as I'm going to correct the CPLP map. See you soon! The Ogre (talk) 18:20, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- This is quite confusing... One can not understand if EG has promoted Portuguese to the status of official language or merely stated that it intends to. In the governement site of EG Portuguese is not listed as an official langauge (but the site is quite laconic and has no specific entry for languages...). In other places, namely news (without further sources), it is said that EG already apllied for full member status in the CPLP, whch would emply having Portuguese as official language. In the Spanish wikipedia it is said "El portugués se oficializó el 18 de julio de 2007 como tercer idioma en la Guinea Ecuatorial" - the date is precise but no source is given. So... I can not tell! [edit] WikiProject Portugal
Hello again Ten Islands. Do notice that if an article has a WikiProject banner, that does not mean that the said article is a property or anything of that sorte of the said Wikiproject, it just means that the article is of interesse to that project! And the usual pratice in wikipedia is to be inclusive as to what projects might be listed. On the other hand it is a pitty that wikiproject Cape Verde (or some other Palop country...) does not exist - would you be interested in starting it? Do think about, please! The Ogre (talk) 20:08, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] PALOP disambiguation
Typing Palop into wikipedia brings you directly to this page. I don't think it should.
It should go to a disambiguation page as most people will be looking for Andrés Palop, the goalkeeper.
Can this be set up? Tris2000 (talk) 13:50, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
