Talk:Port Royal, Nova Scotia

Is there any reason why that "rewrite" took out all of the historical information here? (which is kind of the point of the article)
I thought I'd better give you the benefit of the doubt before I revert. Ambi 06:36, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
I've reverted the first paragraph. Why was it rewritten in the past tense? Port Royal is most definitely (present tense) a community in Nova Scotia. 66.11.174.77 04:01, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Date
Isn't it 1604 instead of 1605? Andrew647 15:39, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Commanding Captain
The article should show reference to Isaac Pesseley and Germain Doucet Sieur de Laverdure. Isaac was the commanding captain of of the french garrison in Port Royal from (?-1645). When he died in 1645, (death probably because of combat) Germain succeeded him as commanding captain of the garrison. This information can be proved in "Familles acadiennes", tome 1, p169. by Stephen White. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.45.112.191 (talk) 23:55, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
