[edit] Trivia and Jayde Nicole
I am not sure why the reference to Ms. Nicole's Playmate status keeps being removed from the Trivia section. Models, in general, do not get mentioned in an article on a place unless there is some extrordinary reason to include them. Ms. Nicole's Playboy status is her only claim to fame, as is made very clear by the linked article. We could just delete any reference to her at all. Another option is to go with the Wiki general preference, and delete the Trivia section completely. Please contact me on my Talk page if there is still a problem with this and we can hash it out. [edit] GTA?
Port Perry is not part of the formal or official GTA. Neither is Whitby, south of it. This incorrect statement needs to be removed from the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.166.15.243 (talk) 14:52, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- According to this map [1], the GTA extends all the way to the extreme eastern and northern borders of Durham County, which would thus include Port Perry and Whitby and many other points both further north and further east. Official publications of the City of Toronto [2] also include all of Durham in their definitions for the GTA. As this is the basis on which funding is shared, I think it may be the best definition. The Census definition, which shows up on the previous Toronto publication linked, is quite old and is kept for counting purposes, I suspect (note: this specific conclusion is entirely WP:OR), so as to continue to present “apples to apples” comparisons. If you have other references, please place them here and we can discuss them. Thanks ៛ Bielle (talk) 16:44, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
