Portstewart Strand

Portstewart Strand[gaeilge needed] is a sandy beach in Portstewart, Northern Ireland and is situated on the northern coast of the island of Ireland. It is owned and managed by the National Trust and is a European Blue Flag beach. It consists of two miles of magnificent sandy beach and important dune system (180 acres) on Ireland's North Coast, facing the Atlantic Ocean. The sandy beach is gently shelving and bordered to the west and south by the River Bann, and to the east by the seaside resort of Portstewart.
