Portland Walk is a medium sized inner-city shopping centre situated in the town of Barrow-in-Furness, North West England. The shopping centre opened in 1998, and was built on the site of former Foreshaw Street. Portland Walk is a major shopping district of the town seen as the regions best shopping destination.

Portland Walk was initially to have a roof, but is now one of the North West's largest open-air shopping centres. It is currently the county's second largest shopping centre (behind Carlisle's 67 store The Lanes [1] and ahead of Kendal's 29 store Westmorland Centre [2]).

Portland Walk is situated in Barrow town centre, and links the principal shopping district (Dalton Road) to the Town Hall, Duke Street, and entertainment district (pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants on and around Duke and Cornwallis Streets). The bottom end of Portland Walk leads directly into Barrow Indoor Market, one of the areas largest markets.

The largest and anchor tennant is Debenhams department store. The second largest stores is the also two storey New Look, which has formerly been Littlewoods and Bhs. Other large and important stores in Portland Walk include WH Smith, JJB Sports, Boots, Next, Topshop and Clinton Cards. Newly opend stores include Body Shop, Waterstones, JD, and Thorntons. Amongst the other clothes stores in the centre are River Island, Select [3], Bay Trading Company, Peacocks and Clarks.

There are several technology outlets incluging Game, Gamestation, Orange, O2 and Vodafone. There are also two Jewelers, two Greeting card stores, an Early Learning Centre, American owned Sallys Beauty Supply [4], Jessops, a Klick Photopoint [5] store, a frozen foods store, a privately owned Locksmith and a nearby Wilkinson store.

The food outlets within Portland Walk include the restaurant at Debenhams, Thorntons Cafe and a Cafe at the entrance to Barrow Market. McDonalds, Subway, Diamond Restaurant, Mithali Restaurant and various other restaurants can be found on adjacent Dalton Road.
