Portia Faces Life was a soap opera which aired on the NBC Red radio network starting in 1940. It starred Lucille Wall as attorney Portia Blake Manning, who dealt with hardships at work and at home.
Portia Faces Life was also soap opera which aired on the CBS television network from 1954 to 1955. A story of chaos in an enduring marriage, it starred Frances Reid in the title role of Portia Blake Manning. Later, as Reid left the role, Fran Carlon started playing the character, and the show was renamed The Inner Flame.
