Teen pornography is a type of age-oriented pornography that depicts young performers who are least 18 years of age. While such performers may be true teens of 18 or 19 years of age, they may also be in their early 20s or older. Teen pornography usually focuses on common themes that emphasize the performers' youth, including:
- innocence or sexual inexperience
- newfound interest in sex or sexual awakening
- curiosity and eagerness to explore sexuality
- appearance of youth — natural, and/or accentuated with props (such as braces on the teeth, pig-tail hairdos, white socks and mary-jane shoes, Catholic school girl skirts, lack of makeup, etc.)
Teen pornography is a popular subject of pornographic magazines, pornographic videos, Internet pornography, comic books and other media. Material that is considered teen pornography may in addition be classified into other genres, such as race-oriented pornography, hardcore, fetish, etc. Gay pornography may similarly feature young performers in a fetishistic sub-genre.
