The Port Hope Predators are a Tier II Junior "A" ice hockey team from Port Hope, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League but also used to be a part of the Metro Junior A Hockey League as the Port Hope Buzzards.

[edit] History

Previous to the current franchise, the Port Hope Panthers existed from 1983 until 1987 in the Central Junior C Hockey League. The Panthers predated the Buzzards by 9 years, but were the first generation of Junior hockey in the town of Port Hope.

The 2006-07 season, much like the last two seasons, has shown the Predators as an upper echelon team in the 35-team Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League. Threatening their third straight winning season, the Predators have the potential to be Dark Horse Champions when they playoffs commence.
