Pornocracy (government)

A pornocracy is a form of government controlled by prostitutes, and is sexually oriented.

Although there has been no such government established, the term is used as a reference to a period of papal history, also known as The House of Harlots, during which women, although not necessarily prostitutes, had control over much of the papal rule. The closest is the Other World Kingdom, a micronation and BDSM resort which acts as an absolute monarchy and matriarchy, in which men are slaves to women.

The fictional Old Town of the Sin City franchise could be considered a pornocracy, as could the society depicted at the end of the Jean Genet play the Balcony.
