Porlezza is a comune (municipality) on Lake Lugano in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60 km north of Milan and about 25 km north of Como. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,325 and an area of 18.7 km².[1]
The municipality of Porlezza contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Begna, Cima, and Tavordo.
Porlezza borders the following municipalities: Bene Lario, Carlazzo, Claino con Osteno, Corrido, Lenno, Ossuccio, Ponna, Val Rezzo, Valsolda.
