Porky's Badtime Story
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Porky's Badtime Story (1937) is a Looney Tunes cartoon starring Porky Pig and Gabby Goat. The cartoon was directed by Robert Clampett.
Porky and Gabby always show up late to work, if they don't show up early the next day, they're fired. So, that night, Porky and Gabby tried to get enough rest, but many disturbances were a bother, such as somebody playing outside, and a thunderstorm. Finally, morning, it was time to get up, and when they got to work they saw a sign saying "CLOSED SUNDAYS". They go back home, and back to bed.
[edit] Trivia
- A similar cartoon was produced in 1944 called Tick Tock Tuckered. It was an exact remake, except for three differences: Tick Tock Tuckered was reissued as a Blue Ribbon Merrie Melodie, is in color (as opposed to black and white), and Gabby the Goat has been replaced with Daffy Duck.
- The working title for this cartoon was "It Happened All Night", a play on the Clark Gable film It Happened One Night, but it was changed to satisfy censors.
