Talk:Pontoon effect

I have attempted to rewrite this page to explain the detailed descriptions of the phenomenon in the references. Since this is a specific and counter-intuitive phenomenon, I propose it warrants its own page. Spril4 (talk) 17:57, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

The explanation and interpretation of this article wasn't right. I'm not certain my re-write is completely correct, but I think it's closer to the right way to explain it. Actually I think the article should be deleted -- it's not notable enough to have an article on its own, since it's just an application of the principles of stability (angle of loll, etc) which already have articles of their own.
