Talk:Pontlottyn
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pontlottyn (or roughly translated in English - "The Bridge with the nine arches" sits near the top of the Rhymney Valley.
The river Rhymney passes through Pontlottyn on it's way to the sea at Cardiff and the Train line goes via a very similar route.
It is the train line that the bridge with the nine arches refers to.

- I am under the impression that it means 'Bridge of the poor man'. Alecs casnewydd 15:57, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- It means 'beggars bridge', to put it in modern context. -SteveG (Pontlottyn resident)
