[edit] Synopsis

When a lost puppy saves Baby Tiddlywinks from a river, the ponies feel they must look after it - but it's already twice as big as they are.

Truly feeds Dinah
Truly feeds Dinah

It's the first day of fall, and the Baby Ponies are playing tag. Baby Shady and Baby Lickety-Split cross a river to escape Baby Tiddly Winks. She tries to follow, but falls into the water and is carried off by the current. Baby Tiddly Winks is rescued by a giant puppy, which she names Dinah, because she's big like a dinosaur. Realising Dinah must be lost, Baby Shady invites her home to the Paradise Estate.

Dinah's huge size soon proves a problem for the Little Ponies - she devours Lickety-Split's ice cream and crushes Heart Throb's valentine collection. Lickety-Split wants Dinah gone, but Magic Star insists that as they decided to keep her, the Little Ponies must show Dinah their love, despite their annoyance.

Over fall and winter, the Ponies grow quite attached to Dinah - Cupcake and Truly work hard to make enough food for her, and even Lickety-Split sneaks her ice-cream cones. In spring, by which time Dinah's grown into an adult, three other dogs come to Paradise Estate - friends whom she was separated from last fall. The Baby Ponies bid a tearful goodbye to Dinah as she rejoins the group. Truly comforts Lickety-Split, who's sneaked into the empty doghouse to cry, saying that although Dinah has to leave, she'll remain in the Ponies' hearts.
