Ponus Ridge Middle School is a middle school in the West Norwalk section of Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. It feeds into Brien McMahon High School, a high school with a renowned sports program.
Contains 6 "teams" (teams of 5 teachers, of which approximately 100 students belong to each one), two in each grade. They are:
- 6th grade:
- Green
- Orange
- 7th grade
- Purple
- Red
- 8th grade:
- Blue
- Gold
The school's students actively participate in the National Geography Bee, with a 7th grade Social Studies teacher as the organizer. Ponus Ridge won the Connecticut Vanguard status in the school year of 2006-2007.
There is a high level of competition between teams on the same grade. The school has a great yearbook staff. It also has two official newspapers, the Ponus Press and the Ponus Connection. All of the students are hardworking and they all listen so well.
