Pontus Norgren is the current guitarist of the swedish power metal band Hammerfall and the former guitarist of The Poodles.
He is the one who replaced the former Hammerfall guitarist, Stefan Elmgren, who decided to focus on his carrer as a pilot. It is admirable that Pontus was the one who got in touch with Hammerfall, as long as he is a fan of their music and he needed a heavier metal band to play than his previous band, The Poodles, as he has stated in his first replies to frequently asked questions.[1] Everyone on the band seemed to be happy for his choice, asserting that he is a professional at what he does.[2]
He has previously played for bands, such as Great King Rat, Talisman,Humanimal, The Ring, Zan Clan etc.
He also was live engineer with Thin Lizzy in the 2000 tour, Yngwie J. Malmsteen and Europe.
