Ponte di Calatrava
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ponte di Calatrava (English: Calatrava's Bridge) is the fourth bridge over the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. It was designed by its namesake, Santiago Calatrava, and was moved into place (connecting Stazione di Santa Lucia to the car park on Tronchetto island) in 2007, amid mass protest by local people. It is still under construction, but is expected to be finished in mid-2008.
