Poneratoxin

Poneratoxin is a paralyzing neurotoxic peptide from the bullet ant Paraponera clavata that affects voltage-dependent sodium ion channels and blocks the synaptic transmission in the insect central nervous system. It is being investigated for possible medical applications.
