Ponduru (Telugu - పొందూరు) is a village and Mandal headquarters in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, India, about 20 kilometers from Srikakulam Town.

  • Ponduru is world renowned for Fine Khadi, a symbol of India's independence. The entire process of manufacture — from the separation of the cotton to the spinning is done by hand. The villagers take pride in their knowledge that no advanced mechanised technology can replicate.
  • Ponduru is the home of many intellectuals, who have excelled in diverse areas such as engineering, technology, medicine etc. Many people hailing from Ponduru are working as top-level managers, doctors and engineers worldwide. All the children of Sri.Vuriti Venkata Ramana have excelled in the field of engineering and technology. His four sons are working in the IT industry in India and USA for world-renowned companies as top-level executives and engineers.
  • Most of the Residents of Ponduru are working in all the State and Central Govt Departments too.
  • Ponduru Students Got State Ranks in Tenth Class Twice.
 Repaka Satish Kumar who is the sone of Repaka venkata Lokanadham, and Repaka venkata Lokanadham is son of Repaka Tariniyya Setty. Sri Repaka Tariniyya Setty is son of Repaka Seetaramaswamy. Repaka Seetaramaswamy and Repaka Tarinayya setty are the jamindars during 1947 to 1970. They are well wishers of the poor people. Now days also their name still rememberable in Ponduru and near by villeges. During those years Mr.Tariniyya setty constructed a big palace which is very big in those days.

Repaka Aditya Krishna and Repaka Bhargav are sons of Repaka Satish Kumar, Grandhi Chandrakala wife of satish kumar. This is beautiful small family.
