Pompeianus

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tiberius Claudius Pompeianus Quintianus or Pompeianus (c. 170 – before 217) was the son of Syrian Roman consul Tiberius Claudius Pompeianus Quintianus and Annia Aurelia Galeria Lucilla. His maternal grandparents were Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius, Roman Empress Faustina the Younger and his uncle was Roman Emperor Commodus.

During the reign of Roman Emperor Caracalla, who reigned 211-217, Caracalla put him in charge of the Roman military campaigns and raised him to two consulships. However, for some reason it does not appear in the Fasti. He appeared to have been murdered during a robbery.
