Pomacea bridgesii, Spike-topped apple snail, is a apecies of freshwater gastropod from family Ampullariidae.

Subspecies:

  • Pomacea bridgesii bridgesii (Reeve, 1856)
  • Pomacea bridgesii effusa (Blume, 1957)

Its native distibution is in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Peru. It is non-indigenous in Hawaii since 1960 (Pomacea bridgesii effusa), south-east Asia since 1980s and in Florida since early 1980s (Pomacea bridgesii effusa).[1]

It is not listed in IUCN red list - not evaluated (NE).[2]

It is often keep as an aquarium pet.
