Item "Element Chip" only exists in Megaman Zero Series. "Light" attribute means "Non-Elemental".

Contents

[edit] Weapon-based

  • Z-Saber / Zetto Saber ﹝ゼットセイバー﹞
Just after gaining it in X2, Zero can already perform a three chain combo: two fully charged buster shots then an arc wave slashed out from the Saber.
In X3, like X2, a powerful slash is available at the top level charge, after shooting off the first two buster shots, but without the external arc wave. X, with the Max Armor Buster part, even causes more damage than Zero as the arc wave slashed out can hack the target a few times more.
In X4 and X5, three pure Saber combo can be performed: diagonal downward -> horizontal circular -> huge diagonal circular.
In X6, Zero's Z-Saber is tube-like, unlike it in other games where it leaves heavy residual glow. The three combo changed: horizontal circular -> diagonal downward -> huge vertical upward. This is perhaps the reference of Rise Form in Z2. X can only make the 3rd (biggest) slash from Zero's old combo.
In X7, five combo with shot-reflecting ability is naturally available.
In X8, two more combo can be added to three, making it totally 5.
In the Zero Series, the combo is: circular backward -> circular forward -> huge fully circular; when charged: one powerful forward circular strike.
* Please note that the moves are called "learnt skills" in X Series but "EX Skills" (Extra Skills) in Zero Series.
  • Z-Buster ﹝ゼットバスター﹞
In X(1), Zero has a chargable buster. The power would be the same as the (First Armor's) arm part of X- pink small buster chains with a body-surrounding spherical shockwave rushing backward.
In X2 and X3, Zero can also carry out double buster shots, followed by a powerful Z-Saber slash.
In X4, buster is not available.
In X5 and X6, Zero (if not damaged in X5) can quickly charge his buster and fires a single but quite powerful buster shot, but the charge is fixed at one level only.
In X7 and X8, no more buster is available.
The Z-Buster is the Zero Series is called "Buster Shot".
  • Buster Shot ﹝バスターショット﹞
The pistol of the Resistance member Milan who was killed by Neo Arcadia's Pantheons in the first episode. Chargable at two levels, but only the top level charged one can be elemental.
  • Zero's Body Parts
In the Rockman X3 manga, Zero is able to make a Double Earth Crush (Earth Gazer) with his bare fist.
It is still not sure if he "learns" moves from Mavericks.

[edit] Learning or Copying-based

[edit] Mega Man X4

  • Raijingeki (Thunder God Attack) ﹝雷神撃﹞
    • Web Spider / Web Spidus // (Land) Special
Z-Saber is electrified and Zero stretches his hands to thrust the Saber as forward as possible.
  • Rakuhouha (Fallen Phoenix Crush) ﹝落鳳破﹞
    • Cyber Peacock / Cyber Kujacker // [Weapon Energy] (Land) Giga Attack
Zero punches on the ground, nine blasts lined up as an half circle diverge away evenly from the crushing point. Blasts' colour is light-blue.
  • Tenkuuha (Sky Command) ﹝天空覇﹞
    • Storm Owl / Storm Fukuroul // (Auto) Attack
Enchanced version of Z Saber. Weak enemies' bullets can be erased. Saber color changes from green to purple.
  • Ryuenjin (Dragon Flame Blade) ﹝龍炎刃﹞
    • Magma Dragoon / Magmard Dragoon // (Land) Up + Special
Zero draws the heated Saber, sweeping from the ground and leaps up high, making it a flame sword upward. After the highest point of leap, Zero draws back the Saber and the move ends. The height of leaping is fixed.
  • Hienkyaku (Flying Jump) ﹝飛燕脚﹞
    • Jet Stingray / Jet Stingren // (Air) Dash
A simple air dash is available.
  • Kuuenbu, Kuuenzan (Sky Waltz, Sky Slice) ﹝空円舞、空円斬﹞
    • Split Mushroom // (Air) Jump / Attack
Kuuenbu allows a double jump in the air. Kuuenzan is an aerial circular slash performed by holding the Saber still then rotating the body, this move ends in one complete circle and can be repeated as long as in the air.
  • Shippuuga (Hurricane Fang) ﹝疾風牙﹞
    • Slash Beast / Slash Beastleo // (Land) Dash + Attack
A fast dashing slash is available, but the dashing process stops when performing this move. Saber color changes from green or purple to pink.
  • Hyouretsuzan (Ice Stab) ﹝氷烈斬﹞
    • Frost Walrus / Frost Kibatodos // (Air) Down + Sepcial
Zero stabs the Saber downward and making it covered with hard ice. The ice shatters when the tip strikes the ground. Minor lateral (left and right) adjustments can be made. It can be cancelled in the air by performing Kuuenbu or cling to the wall again, to prevent direct abyss fall.

[edit] Mega Man X5

  • C-Sword / Mikatsukizan ﹝三日月斬﹞
    • Grizzly Slash / Crescent Grizzly // (Air) Jump / Attack
Similar to Kuuenzan in X4. However, gold-yellow crescents are generated along the Saber's trail of residual glow.
  • E-Blade / Denjin ﹝電刃﹞
    • Squid Adler / Volt Kraken // (Land) Up + Special
Similar to Ryuenjin in X4. But the Saber is electrified and thunder bolts strike down vertically from the tip of Saber. The height of leaping is controllable.
  • C-Flasher / Messenko ﹝滅閃光﹞
    • Izzy Glow / Shining Hotarunix // [Weapon Energy] (Land) Giga Attack
Similar to Rakuhouha in X4. Blasts' colour is deep purple.
  • F-Splasher / Hisuisho ﹝飛水翔﹞
    • Duff McWhalen / Tidal Makkoin // (Air) Dash (+ Up / Down)
Similar to Hienkyaku in X4. Yet, the front of the air dash now is covered with special liquid (water?) and is offensive (attacking). Minor vertical (up and down) adjustments can be made.
  • W-Shredder / Shipuu ﹝疾風﹞
    • The Skiver / Spiral Pegasion // (Land) Dash + Attack
Similar to Shippuuga in X4. Instead of Zero himself, a crimson shadow of him dashes for a longer length. If there is an enemy, the shadow slashes it with Shippuuga; otherwise, the shadow flashes and disappears. The dashing process stops when producing the shadow.
  • Twin Dream / Sogenmu ﹝双幻夢﹞
    • Axel The Red / Spike Rosered // [Weapon Energy] Select ditto + Special + Attack
A rainbow-glowing shadow maintaining a certain horizontal distance with Zero is formed. The shadow itself is not offensive, but it follows Zero's actions and its slashes are offensive. It goes back to Zero after using for about 10 seconds, and has great similarity to X's Soul Body in X4.
  • Dark Hold ﹝ダークホールド﹞
    • Dark Dizzy / Dark Necrobat // [Weapon Energy] Select ditto + Sepcial
Same as X's Dark Hold. Once activated, time is stopped for a period depending on the amount of weapon energy. Any background's colours are reversed like film negatives, except the user's.
  • Quake Blazer / Danchien ﹝断地炎﹞
    • The Mattrex / Burn Dinorex // (Air) Down + Sepcial
Similar to Hyouretsuzan in X4. This time it is fire-based and a little explosion occurs on the contacting point for a little while. Minor lateral (left and right) adjustments can be made.

Awaken Zero's moves

  • Shingetsurin ﹝真月輪﹞
    • (Awaken Zero) // -CPU-
Two homing light wheels.
  • Genmuzero ﹝幻夢零﹞
    • (Awaken Zero) // -CPU-
Two exaggerated gigantic slash waves flying forward in a sinusoid sense, X may be killed in one hit.
  • Shin-Messenko ﹝真・滅閃光﹞
    • (Awaken Zero) // -CPU-
Spiral-like and gray Messenko blasts flying up from the ground vertically as Zero performing a crushing punch. It is "dodgable" since there are player-sized unaffected areas, the projected affected and unaffected areas are alternative on the ground.

[edit] Mega Man X6

  • Yammar Option ﹝ヤンマーオプション﹞
    • Commander Dragonfly / Commander Yammark // [Weapon Energy] (Land) Up + Special + Attack...
Same as X's Yammar Option. Three mechanical dragonflies rotate around Zero and fire small green blasts horizontally when attack button is pressed, they are usable forever as long as they do not have physical impacts with enemies which offensive effect is also available.
  • Ensuizan ﹝円水斬﹞
    • Rain Turtle / Rainy Turtloid // Down + Special
Similar to Kuuenzan in X4. Yet, the radius is smaller, the speed is much faster, the duration is shorter, the revolution number is bigger. Consecutive Ensuizan is possible but it cannot be started more than one time in the air, unless landed then jump again.
  • Guard Shell ﹝ガードシェル﹞
    • Shield Shellfish / Shield Sheldon // [Weapon Energy] Select ditto + Special
Same as X's Guard Shell. A blue-and-gold glowing optical shield reflecting weak shots is available, but unlike X, the direction of setting seems not to be convenient.
  • Hyoroga (Hyourouga) ﹝氷狼牙﹞
    • Blizzard Wolf / Blizzard Wolfang // [Weapon Energy] (Ceiling) Select ditto + Attack
When acquired, Zero can perform "high leap" by: Up + Jump, and cling to the ceiling if the leap vertex reaches one. Actually, the Hyourouga weapon selection is automatically done when "high-leaping". On the ceiling, Zero swings a frozen white Saber, sending three ice icicles divergently downward. With reference to X's Ice Blast, Turtloid should be weak against Hyourouga, but the problem is that: the ceiling is too high above the ground...
  • Shoenzan ﹝翔炎山﹞
    • Blaze Phoenix / Blaze Heatnix // (Land) Up + Attack
It is the flaming version of Zero's normal last rising combo. Therefore, players can choose to make a "Shoenzan combo" instead of the "rise combo".
  • Rekkoha ﹝裂光覇﹞
    • Infinity Flea / Infinity Mijinion // [Weapon Energy] (Land) Giga Attack
Similar to other Zero's Giga Attack, the crushing punch induces large downward laser colmuns across the screen in a V-shaped array, the column number should be odd and is about 11 to 13.
  • Rakukojin ﹝落鋼刃﹞
    • MetalShark Preyer / MetalShark Player // [Weapon Energy] (Air) Down + Sepcial
Similar to Hyouretsuzan in X4. This downward stab, however, makes the Saber into a "metalized" version, with two faint carvings of the word 「零」 (Zero) on it in a flipped sense. When striking the ground, an X's version of Metal Anchor is formed. Minor lateral (left and right) adjustments can be made.
  • Sentsuizan ﹝旋墜斬﹞
    • Ground Scarab / Ground Scaravich // (Air) Up + Attack
Zero dashes diagonally downward, with his hand holding the Saber stretched long to allow the farthest reach, slashing enemies along the path. Nevertheless, as nothing can halt this move until landing or reaching a wall, this moves perhaps becomes the most possibility that Zero loses lives to it, by falling into undesirable things like spikes, abysses, bosses, etc. Interestingly, if Sentsuizan ends in touching the solid ground, the foreground shakes and a sound effect resembling to a little earthquake occurs, which is a rare but cool or even awesome effect besides Zero's powerful Giga Attacks.

Nightmare Zero's moves

They also include Awaken Zero's moves, but colours are changed.
  • Genmuzero-Kai ﹝幻夢零‧改﹞
    • (Nightmare Zero) // -CPU-
Exaggerated gigantic slash waves, but only single for one slash, the arc wave goes straightly forward fast.

[edit] Mega Man X7

  • Bakuenjin ﹝爆炎陣﹞
    • Flame Hyenard // [Weapon Energy] (Land) Giga Attack
Still it is a Giga Attack, a crushing punch created a fire shockwave, but the affecting range is reduced into a hemisphere with radius near Zero's height. The retracting duration (time for back to standby state) is also long.
  • Hadangeki ﹝波断撃﹞
    • Vanishing Gungaroo / Vanishing Galgaroon // [Z-Saber] (Land) Special
Hadangeki is a Saber shockwave to be simple, its reach is acceptable (still it fades within an in-screen range) when comparing to X's counterpart weapon. The power proves to be good but fast consecutive strafe is doubtful. Impatience may lead to mis-performing of Zankourin.
  • Raijinshou ﹝雷神昇﹞
    • Tornado Tonion / Tornado Debonion // (Land) Dash + Special
The dashing part is meaningless, as the offensive part starts when Zero spins and leaps up to create an electrified tornado with inertia from the dash. When using it against Wafly, it seems that only the Saber stroke done in the starting lowerest point of leaping is useful.
  • Suiretsusen ﹝水烈閃﹞
    • Splash Warfly / Splash Wafly // [D-Glaive] (Land) Special
It allows a blue flash wave to be struck at the tip of D-Glaive when it is stretched fast towards the front. The stretch needs space so spatial preparation is needed, and thus more time is used for performing it. That's why players often miss when trying to strike Hyenard with Suiretsusen.
  • Gokumonken ﹝獄門剣﹞
    • Soldier Stonekong // (Land) Hold Attack
Parrying the Saber in hold like charging. Weak enemy shots are automatically deflected and enemies are automatically hacked when the "victims" come near.
  • Souenbou ﹝双燕舞﹞
    • Wind Crowrang / Wind Karasting // [V-Hanger] Special
One of the two V-Hangers is thrown out as a boomerang in an elliptic track.
  • Hieijin ﹝飛影刃﹞
    • Snipe Aneater / Snipe Ariquick // (Air) Special
An arrow-like homing projectile is swinged out from the Saber. A second Hieijin can only be "shot" again if the first one disappeared, like by hitting something or out of 3-D map range.
  • Zankourin ﹝斬光輪﹞
    • Ride Boarski / Hellride Inobusky // (Land) Forward + Special
Really similar to X's Spin Wheel in X2 or Moving Wheel in X8, but is self-glowing.

[edit] Mega Man X8

Zero and Layer possess the exactly same skills.

  • Tenshouha ﹝天照覇﹞
    • Optic Sunflower / Optic Sunfloward // (Land) Down + Special
Giga Attack, a crushing punch "summoning" one wide column of blue laser striking the ground from the sky, but without Sunfloward's triple red focusing lasers for aim.
  • Juuhazan ﹝重波斬﹞
    • Gravity Antonion / Gravitate Ant-Onion // [Not T Breaker or K Knuckle] (Land) Special
Zero forcefully swings the weapon in an overhead arc-like style and heavily chops enemies straightly onto their heads after using a little time for placing the weapon to a right place as preparation of this one-shot hack. The residual glow changes to pale blue. Defense-breaking.
  • Dairettsui ﹝大烈槌﹞
    • (Ditto) // [T Breaker] (Land) Special
Zero hammers the ground forcefully with T Breaker. A purple circular shockwave flashes from the strike point. Defense-breaking.
  • Ganzanha ﹝岩斬波﹞
    • (Ditto) // [K Knuckle] (Land) Special
Zero punches the ground forcefully with K Kunckle. A small purple circular shockwave flashes from the strike point. Defense-breaking.
  • Rasetsusen ﹝螺刹旋﹞
    • Dark Mantis / Darkneid Kamakil // [Not K Knuckle] (Air) Special (+ (Diagonal) Down)
Similar to Kuuenzan in X4. But Zero fixes at one aerial point. The radius depends on the effective area of the weapon, the speed is very fast, the duration is longer, the revolution number is large (about 20 rev. within 3 sec., but it is really too fast). It can only be executed once in the air, but longer Rasetsusen is possible if the player adds a (diagonal) downward direction when performing it.
  • Senpuukyaku ﹝旋風脚﹞
    • (Ditto) // [K Knuckle] (Air) Special (+ (Diagonal) Down)
Zero freezes at one aerial point, using a leg as a pivot with another held horizontally to perform a spinning kick. In the Japanese X8, Zero and Layer calls out "TatsuMaki SenPuuKyaku" (Tornado Hurricane Spin Kicks), which greatly resembles one of the Ansatsuken skills. Purple energy trails is formed at the leg then fades. One difference from Rasetsusen is that Senpuukyaku continues even when the kicking part at the locational static point ends.
  • Raikousen ﹝雷光閃﹞
    • Gigavolt Man-O-War / Gigabolt Dokragen // [Not K Knuckle] Dash + Special
Zero stops dashing for a very little while to allow preparation for the weapon to be electrified, then he dashes again but invisibly thus invincibly, with the weapon thrust straightly forward. Upon finishing the secondary dash, Zero becomes visible again and a horizontal trail of lightning, shocking enemies in the path. Raikousen, like X's charged Speed Burner or Rushing Burner in X2, can effectly extend the air-dashing range.
  • Raijinken ﹝雷迅拳﹞
    • (Ditto) // [K Knuckle] Dash + Special
Zero slides with his hand(s) drawn downward and charged with electricity, and gradually rises, making a curved trail of lightning. At the end point, a vertical thunder blot strikes across the screen. The punch of Raijinken can be made advanced by releasing holding the Special Attack button earlier.
  • Enkoujin ﹝焔降刃﹞
    • Burn Rooster / Burn Kokekokker // [Not K Knuckle] (Air) Down + Special
Similar to Hyouretsuzan in X4. This move is flame-based. Unlike the older episodes, Zero "sits" with the weapon held between his legs, rather than "tiptoeing" in the air. No lateral (left and right) adjustments can be made.
  • Enkoukyaku ﹝焔降脚﹞
    • (Ditto) // [K Knuckle] (Air) Down + Special
A diagonal downward flaming kick is executed. It seems that using Enkoukyaku possesses a less possibility of taking damage from an enemy than using Enkoujin, if well aimed.
  • Hyouryuushou ﹝氷龍昇﹞
    • Avalanche Yeti / Ice-Snow Yetinger // [Not K Knuckle] (Land) Up + Special
The weapon is swung straight upwards highly in a spiral way. Enemies are frozen in ice upon touching the weapon. Like Rasetsusen, a longer weapon means safer execution of these rotation-based moves. This name is Yetinger's Shouryuuken.
  • Shouryuuken ﹝昇竜拳﹞
    • (Ditto) // [K Knuckle] (Land) Up + Special
Totally the same as the Ansatsuken version. Zero does an uppercut with a high leap and fast spins. The only difference is: enemies are frozen in ice.
  • Rekkyoudan ﹝烈鏡断﹞
    • Earthrock Trilobyte / Earthrock Torirovich // [Not B Fan] (Auto) Attack
Similar to Tenkuuha in X4. Weak shots are deflected but not erased. The residual glow changes to orange.
  • Zekkyoudan ﹝絶鏡断﹞
    • (Ditto) // [B Fan] (Auto)
Even when standing still, a glowing sphere is generated which automatically deflects weak shots. It comes with the nature of B Fan as a defensive weapon.
  • Youdantotsu ﹝葉断突﹞
    • Bamboo Pandamonium / Bamboo Pandemonium // [Not D Glaive] (Land) Forward + Special
Zero dashes foward, thrusting the weapon and making its tip covered with a leaf-green striking flow, causing a strong horizontal stab.
  • Renyoudan ﹝連葉断﹞
    • (Ditto) // [D Glaive] (Land) Forward + Special
Six consecutive glaive stabs are performed. Green leaves drifts from the tip, as "you" in Renyoudan means "leaves". It can be stopped by jumping.
