[edit] Descriptions of parties

erm, who wrote the party descriptions on this?

The MPCI is "militant, Muslim, speratist" but the other side in the civil war, Gbagbo's party, is merely "socialist"? North Americans may not understand, but "socialist" is meant as a Good Thing in much of the world: idealistic, stable, and modern. In fact, they're socialist in the sense that the French Socialist Party is (today) socialist, which is something to the right of Tony Blair.

But that's beside the point. One side in the civil war gets pejoratives and the other side gets it's own ideal of what it wishes to show the world...

Unless someone can come up with a more balanced set of descriptors to the two parties which represent the sides in the Civil War, I'm going to remove these taglines. T L Miles 13:28, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
