[edit] Question about opening sentence

Are all polyneuropathies characterized by simultaneous malfunction of the nerves? Some are progressive, right? --Joelmills 21:28, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What's a "differential"?

There's a whole section on "differential", but I have no idea what this means. I think this is medical jargon, could someone please clarify for us lay-people? Steve carlson 19:46, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure in this case it refers to Differential diagnosis, which is a list of possible causes of a symptom or sign such as polyneuropathy. I linked it in the article. --Joelmills 01:56, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
