[edit] Problematic ISBN

Can someone verify the citation information for the following book listed as a reference in the article? I am not able to locate a book with this ISBN or title anywhere. I have found other books, but not this one, by the same author (Mikhail Maslov). Thanks for your help. Keesiewonder talk 23:40, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Unfortunately, I don't know ISBN, but the book is available scanned here and can be bought here. It seems some special issue of Tankomaster magazine. Pibwl ←« 01:31, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. From what I can tell, Tankomaster is a supplement to the magazine Tekhnika-molodezhi; the latter's ISSN is 0320-331X according to [1] and [2]; Amazon also lists the magazine at ASIN B0002IEWPY. The scanned link you provided seems to imply that the special issue supplement we're interested in may be from November 2004 ... Keesiewonder talk 02:22, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

This is the ISBN listed on several websites selling the monograph. I don't have access to the original at this time so I cannot verify the info. - Emt147 Burninate! 02:13, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Great! Can you point me to one of those links? Keesiewonder talk 02:22, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
I've sent email to the hobby seller listed above, but if someone can point me to an online listing selling the book that lists the ISBN, my work would nearly be complete ... Thanks. Keesiewonder talk 12:27, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Found one: [3] (says it was published in 2003, so maybe the material scanned above in Russian is listing a scan date or date the page was last modified). Keesiewonder talk 12:49, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

A bit more discussion is here. I'm afraid since the ISBN check digit test fails and the book/journal/monograph is not cataloged at a place such as WorldCat, the ISBN needs to be removed from the citation. When and if the ISBN is verified as published as an invalid number, we can certainly put it back in. Kind Regards, Keesiewonder talk 19:04, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
