What is known of the technical details about the system? Can someone add any information they can find to the article, as I imagine it would be of interest. Running such a database must pose a significant technical challenge. 86.136.3.193 01:36, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

The PNC and CAD are based on an old airline ticket booking programme purchased from 'Laker', I was informed (on my training course to operate the system) that IBM wanted to create a system that linked all the police computer programmes but the police refused to give the go ahead for such project as IBM stipulated in the proposed contract that they would advertise the association as 'IBM the best computers for the best police force' the police refused, stating that they had a no advertisment stance which left us with what we are still using today....
