Talk:Polgara the Sorceress
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I did the best I could to expand this, but I do't have my books with me, so this is off the top of my head. Therefore, corrections are appreciated. --[[User:Aranel|Aranel ("Sarah")]] 20:48, 25 Sep 2004 (UTC)
It is actually Poledra, merged with Polgara in a single owl-shape, who defies Torak at Vo Mimbre (in 4875). Durnik only enters the story at Faldor's farm, shortly after the birth of Garion (in 5355). --82.93.53.129 23:40, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
It's badly phrased, but I believe the intent was to say that she discovered Torak's plans for her at Vo Mimbre, defied him then, continued to defy him, then ultimately rejected him at Cthol Mishrak, due to her memories of Durnik. Sir Ophiuchus 21:09, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
I have been taking notes on the history of the world presented to us in the Belgariad/Mallorean. I have been able to determine the exact year of Polgara's birth to be 2000 A.C. (Alorn Calendar). I have also been able to determine that Beldaran died in either the year 2035 or 2036.
The last part of article "there is evidence in the book"... wtf? It is very much said outright, several times, and not particularly relevant. Deleted.
- "According to various historical dates listed in Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress we are able to determine that Polgara and Beldaran were born in the year 2000 A.C. (Alorn Calendar)."
Sure this doesn't count as original research? Not trying to be a dick, you're probably right, but still... --Sir Ophiuchus 15:00, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Shouldn't there be a spoiler warning? First regarden Toraks defeat, but also Zandramas'? AND polgara having twins... We all know they won't lose, but still...
